| Storage Guidelines | Store and transport in dark, opaque steel drums or containers protected by corrosion-resistant and solvent-resistant liners. Leave at least 15% headspace filled with air inside the container. Keep in a cool condition below 35℃; avoid sunlight exposure entirely. |
Maintaining at least 15% headspace containing ambient air is critical to prevent spontaneous anaerobic gelation. Strictly avoid storage above 35℃ or direct UV/sunlight exposure.
UV Resin 5017 is formulated as a modified epoxy acrylate (type 6100D) with difunctional properties (functionality of 2), presenting as a transparent viscous liquid with a viscosity of 20,000–30,000 mPa.s at 25℃.
It is predominantly utilized in UV-curable wood coatings, UV plastic finishes, UV-curable industrial printing inks, and topcoat clear varnishes where quick curing and strong surface adhesion are required.
Low volumetric shrinkage during UV irradiation prevents internal film stress, minimizing micro-cracking, substrate distortion, and adhesion loss on rigid or flexible plastics and wood surfaces.
Acrylate-based UV resins require dissolved oxygen to stabilize the radical polymerization inhibitors. Keeping at least 15% headspace of air ensures the resin remains stable and prevents premature self-polymerization.
The product is supplied in standard packages of 20 kg or 220 kg opaque lined containers. When stored in a cool area below 35℃ away from sunlight, the standard warranty period is 180 days.
